Meet Dr. Emran Sheikh
Dr. Emran Sheikh’s work as a nerve and hand surgeon has been praised by his fellow physicians, who most recently named him as a 2011 “Top Doctor” in southern New Jersey’s SJ Magazine. A graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College, he has been published in multiple scientific and medical publications and texts. Dr. Sheikh’s areas of expertise include minimally-invasive nerve decompression, brachial plexus injuries, thoracic outlet syndrome, chronic regional pain syndrome (RSD), nerve grafts, and lower extremity diabetic neuropathy. He also specializes in hand and wrist problems, including arthritis, joint replacement, trigger fingers, Dupuytren’s disease and ganglion cysts. Having completed a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, Dr. Sheikh accomplished his clinical specialty training in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as peripheral nerve, hand and microsurgery at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Sheikh helped establish and served as medical director at the Atlanticare Wound Healing Center in Atlantic County prior to relocating to northern NJ.
Meet Dr. Renata V. Weber
Dr. Renata V. Weber was named one of America’s Top Surgeons in 2011 and a 2009 and 2010 America’s Top Plastic Surgeon by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. A graduate of the New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Weber completed her fellowship training in peripheral nerve, hand and microsurgery at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She has published extensively and is a member of several medical societies, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Peripheral Nerve. In addition to being certified in hand surgery, she specializes in brachial plexus, congenital hand surgery and complex nerve injuries. She is the only surgeon in the tri-state area participating in a multi-center clinical trial for nerve reconstruction using processed human nerves. Dr. Weber is part of a small group of surgeons nationwide specialized in cutting edge surgical treatment of peripheral nerve disorders.
Meet Dr. Ednan Sheikh
Dr. Ednan Sheikh specializes in the comprehensive pain management of orthopedic, cancer, spinal, neurological, and many other pain disorders. He earned his doctoral degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia; after completing his surgical internship at Cornell, he completed anesthesia training at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. He returned to New York City for his fellowship at the Tri-Institute of Pain (comprising of the Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell). Optimizing state-of-the-art technology, Dr. Sheikh customizes pain management to give our patients the highest quality care. His expertise includes epidural injections, radiofrequency neuroablation, nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulators, infusion therapy, laser discectomy, joint and pelvis injections, and stem cell rejuvenation for joint and spine disease.
